Four expertly shaped yellow gold talon claws ensure this rare gemstone is perfectly secure. Burma of Myanmar, is a country that is renowned for its deposits of extraordinary gemstones. The vivid colour displayed by the finest Burmese rubies (known as Pigeon’s Blood) is hugely sought after by gemstone collectors and connoisseurs across the globe. The example showcased here is truly superb, and accompanied by certification from the AGL (American Gemmological Laboratories) to confirm its colour is completely natural and has not been enhanced by any heat treatment. Expertly designed by a member of the Pragnell family the warmth of this ruby has been perfectly complemented by a bold halo of angled heart cut diamonds (2.48cts). Set into platinum the delicate sparkle from these romantic stones breathes life and fire into the central gemstone.
