The IWC Portugieser was first introduced in 1939 as the challenge of two Portuguese businessmen, Rodrigues and Teixeira, to produce a large steel wristwatch which could house a movement that could match the accuracy of a marine chronometer.
This pre-owned IWC Portugieser 42.3mm Men's Watch has the most exquisite silver dial, with rose Arabic numerals. Two sub-dials display the small seconds and the seven day power reserve indicator. A discreet date window display is subtly set at the six o'clock. The driving force behind this timepiece is the Calibre 52010, with double main spring winding barrels. Luxuriously housed within the 18ct Rose Gold watch case, with large winding crown, providing a water resistance of 30 metres. Protected by a sapphire crystal glass and display back, through which the automatic movement can be seen. Finished with a classic brown alligator leather strap.
The incredibly impressive power reserve on this timepiece will allow it to be left for up to a week without the need for resetting.
