Francois Paul Journe is a true devotee to the world of high horology having been interested from a young age in making watches 'from A-Z'. Founding the manufacture that bears his name in 1999 the name of F. P. Journe has become famous worldwide over the past twenty two years amongst watch collectors and connoisseurs. Based in central Geneva only around 1000 pieces are produced each year, which makes each F. P. Journe timepiece a greatly admired innovative masterpiece of complex precision. First seen in 2014 the Elegante range perfectly combines a revolutionary concept with a classically elegant flat tortue shaped case. Housing the innovative calibre 1210, which is an electro mechanical movement with motion detection that provides approximately 8-18 years of autonomy. After 35 minutes off the wrist this clever timepiece switches to standby mode, which stops the hands turning and subsequently saves energy. The Elegante ELT-842060-148032.D has an eye-catching presence on the wrist with a 40mm case size that has been expertly crafted from light and durable polished and brushed titanium. This has been given a distinctly feminine touch through the addition of two rows of colourless brilliant cut diamonds (0.50ct). A luminescent sapphire dial centre features elegant numbers, and has been surrounded by eye catching screwed steel elements. This piece is completed by a blue rubber strap that ensures that this special timepiece can be enjoyed from day to night. Pragnell are proud to be the sole agents for F. P. Journe in the United Kingdom with all timepieces being accompanied by a two year warranty.
