Heart Shape Moonstone Brooch, with Diamond Surround
Description
A romantic moonstone and diamond brooch from the Belle Époque period. Two enchanting heart shape moonstones are surrounded by an open work bow and ribbon style motif, set with old cut diamonds. The opalescent moonstone hearts glow like moonlight amongst the ornate diamond surround. Belle Époque was a stylistic movement which occurred during the Edwardian period; it was characterised by its use of garlands, scrolls and floral motifs, inspired by Rococo design.
