Originally founded in Glashütte, Germany, back in 1845 A. Lange & Söhne ceased to exist after 1945, when the main production factory was bombed on the last night of WWII. Re-established by the great-great-grandson, Walter Lange, in 1990. Filing their famed first patent in 1992 for the oversized date that is adored by collectors globally.
This pre-owned Lange & Söhne Jumping Seconds 39.9mm Men's Watch has an alluring silver dial, separated into three overlapping dial sections. The largest for the attractive blue jumping seconds hand. The second for the minutes, with black baton and red Arabic numerals. The last has traditional black Roman numerals displaying the hours. All powered by a hand wound calibre. Housed in a precious case of 18ct Pink Gold with argenté, that is elegantly shaped to sit comfortably on the wrist. Held securely in place with a stitched brown alligator strap for optimum comfort.
A distinguished gentlemen's timepiece with an unusual dial layout, reminiscent of early pocket watches.
